Certification and National Examinations for the Nurse Technician

Once your Nurse's Aide course of study is successfully completed*, you will then be eligible to enroll in our approved Nurse Technician class. Nurse Technician students learn how to care for patients in need of acute care, develop a more intimate understanding of patient needs, and report directly to medical professionals. The responsibilities of the Nurse Technician include, but are not limited to: providing direct patient care under the direction and supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN) and performing certain functions when delegated by a supervising RN.

*The Nurse's Aide course of study can be completed at Manhattan Institute or any other approved training program. A copy of the Nurse Aide completion of study certificate/diploma will be needed prior to acceptance of Nurse Technician application.

Once the Nurse Technician course is successfully completed, and graduates become gainfully employed with demonstrable work history of up to 1 year of continuous employment, our Nurse Technician graduates are then eligible to demand higher wages as the health care industry views their educational background and professional expertise as an added value in administering qualified patient care.

Job opportunities/national organizations and professional certifications that become available to Nurse Technicians include:
certified nurse technician, certified phelobotomy technician, and pharmacy technician – just to name a few.
